Buyer Terms
These terms apply when you buy a ticket, RSVP, join a waitlist, claim a ticket, or use a Wrtyn-hosted event page as a guest or attendee. If you are the organizer or account holder, see the Organizer Terms of Service.
1. Scope and acceptance
By purchasing a ticket, submitting buyer or guest information, claiming a ticket, interacting with a public event page, or otherwise using Wrtyn as an attendee or buyer, you agree to these buyer terms and our Privacy Policy. "Wrtyn" in these terms refers to Wrtyn, LLC, with notice address at 548 Market St, PMB 80414, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA.
When you check the box agreeing to these terms during checkout, Wrtyn records the version number of the terms shown to you, the date and time you accepted, your IP address, and your browser user-agent. That record is the contractual proof of what you agreed to and may be retained for the lifetime of any related ticket purchase.
2. Wrtyn’s role
Wrtyn provides software used by event organizers. Wrtyn is not the event organizer, promoter, venue operator, performer, insurer, or guarantor of any event unless Wrtyn is expressly identified as the organizer on the event page.
- Event descriptions, pricing, schedules, capacity, refund terms, and event changes are set by the organizer.
- Wrtyn does not manage event operations, admission, security, accessibility, or event execution.
- Wrtyn does not hold buyer funds and does not make organizer-side refund decisions.
3. Tickets, payments, and checkout
Payments for ticketed events are processed through the organizer’s Stripe-connected account. The organizer, not Wrtyn, is the seller and merchant of record for those ticket sales.
- You must provide accurate purchaser and attendee information during checkout.
- Taxes, fees, and refund rules shown at checkout are set or controlled by the organizer and its payment setup.
- Wrtyn may send transaction-related emails or ticket-delivery messages needed to operate the purchase flow.
4. Refunds, cancellations, and disputes
- Refund eligibility is determined by the organizer’s disclosed refund policy and applicable law.
- Refunds must be issued by the organizer through its Stripe account or other organizer-controlled payment tooling.
- Wrtyn does not fund, promise, or guarantee refunds and is not liable if an organizer refuses or fails to provide one.
- If an event is canceled, postponed, relocated, oversold, or materially changed, your primary relationship is with the organizer.
- Any payment dispute or chargeback you initiate is handled by your payment provider and the organizer’s Stripe account, not by Wrtyn.
5. Tickets, delivery, and access
- You are responsible for reviewing event details and any organizer disclosures before purchasing.
- Ticket access, seat assignments, transferability, attendee-name requirements, and check-in rules depend on the organizer’s event settings.
- You may not reproduce, resell, forge, scrape, duplicate, or misuse ticket credentials, QR codes, claim links, or other access mechanisms.
- Wrtyn may invalidate tickets or links that appear fraudulent, duplicated, compromised, or tied to abuse of the platform.
6. Buyer and guest conduct
- You may only use public Wrtyn pages and tickets for lawful purposes.
- You must not attempt to scrape event pages, harvest personal data, probe security, impersonate others, or interfere with checkout, ticket delivery, or check-in systems.
- You must not submit false attendee details, fraudulent payment information, or abusive communications through Wrtyn-hosted flows.
7. Privacy and organizer-controlled data
The organizer controls much of the buyer and guest data collected for its event. Wrtyn processes that data to operate the platform and related communications.
- Your information may be shared with the organizer as necessary to deliver the event, the ticket, and related communications.
- Organizer-side opt-ins for future event updates, marketing communications, event reminders, or similar disclosures are optional and controlled by the organizer unless Wrtyn explicitly states otherwise.
- More detail is available in our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
Wrtyn provides buyer-facing pages, ticket access, and event communications on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that any event will occur as advertised, that the organizer will perform, or that public pages and ticket links will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wrtyn will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from organizer conduct, event cancellation, denial of entry, event quality, injury, venue issues, organizer refund failures, or disputes between you and the organizer.
If Wrtyn is found liable to you despite the limits in these terms, Wrtyn’s aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of $100 or the fees, if any, that you paid directly to Wrtyn for the specific buyer transaction giving rise to the claim.
10. Governing law and disputes
These buyer terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute against Wrtyn relating to these buyer terms or Wrtyn’s buyer-facing services must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah. Each party waives any right to a jury trial to the fullest extent permitted by law.
